How freaking rad is that? There are boatloads of Embalm creatures at all rarities, so I expect a vast majority of token cards will fill in those blanks. This is good because the relatively few 'classic tokens' are all pretty much fucked one way or another. Beasts are 4/2, not 3/3. A Wurm is 5/5 but lacks trample, insects are black instead of green, &c &c. So there are very few Perfect Fits if you want to show off some old tokens. But there are some near fits.
Beast
(Trial of Strength)
Ugh, it happened again. Apparently, for what I'm sure are VERY good design reasons, a 3/3 Beast wasn't the right fit and we have a 4/2 beast. Truth be told, it probably tells something interesting about 2 toughness being a key... something or other.
Cat
(Regal Caracel)
(previously seen)
Sadly the Amonkhet cat is a 1/1 lifelinker, so no chance to use some throwback tokens of suspiciously bipedal cats.
Drake
(Previously seen)
Well we have our first match from a previous token. Truthfully, I'm a little underwhelmed with the Amonkhet drake. Seems super generic. I had no idea that there was a drake token from M15 with Talrand. Decent enough art, it gets the armless part right for drafts. A little bird-ish overall but well within allowable artistic license.
Hippo
(Mouth // Feed)
Oh hey look it's a 3/3 BEAST. Though, truth be told, having a hippo token is such a flavor win, I'll allow it. Mega bonus points if you can pull out a Phleddagrif
Insect
(Nest of Scarabs)
Previously Seen
Whoa, now there is a sweet token with the scarab crawling over the skull. 10/10, would molder again.
Snake
(Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons)
Previously Seen
Again with a bunch of near-misses. The Theros token comes close, and I might run it, though I'm unhappy with the Enchantment Creature creature type. The Amonkhet token does add to the family. The Zendikar one strikes me as a little happy; no such misunderstanding with the Amonkhet cobra rearing to strike.
Warrior
Previously Seen
Wuuuuuuut is this. 1/1 Warrior, fine, but what is with the Vigilance? That's almost as useful as a 1/1 token with trample. Either it dies or the opponent has zero creatures so what does it matter if it's tapped or not? I didn't see a bunch of 'tap a creature' activation costs, so the whole thing is just baffling. Given how it's very common, I would absolutely run some KTK/DTK tokens.
Wurm
(Sandworm Convergence)previously seen:
While the RTR wurm is a stone-cold classic (and not just because Call of the Wurm was such a groan-test), it's good to see some neat variety! A bit frustratingly, the RTR Wurm trampled and the new one, while 5/5, does not. I miss our lil-buddy already. Oh well, some Dune-esque sandworms are always welcome in my book.
Zombies
(10th, 2010, 2014, DTK
KTK, Mirrodin, OTG, SOI
Alara, Inn, Inn, EMN
EMN, EMN)
FINALLY. Okay, there is one normal token and it's a thematic homerun. I always like it when the tokens grab some flavor (gothic horror with Innistrad/Eldritch, hedrons for Oath etc.) and the sweet, creepy linen (but black linen, get it?) lost in sand zombie is a great addition to the fold.
